Special Requirements

This theme requires the latest version of WeatherPanel, and you need to download the icons available

for proper display. Download the file above called 'Vista VGA icons' unzip it and use it as a guide for assembling the icon set. The icons I created are in this zip called Alert and Background. Download the icons from the Yahoo page and place them in the appropriate folders with the standard sized icons going directly in the vista folder and not in a sub-folder. Note that this theme is not for the RAM challenged and hopefully you store your icons on a memory card as this set is huge.

The lunar calendar display will work best if you have mini moon icons in your selected theme. It will use the built in mini moons if you do not but this will significantly slow the display. If you wish to use the Real time moon image display make that image the seventh image of your home city. To use this you must have the seventh radar image pointed to the following URL: [1] Note that if you have no seventh image the screen will default to a standard moon image from your icon set, this is so you do not have to have multiple downloads of the moon image for proper display when not viewing from your home city.

Introduction

Introducing the first WeatherPanel theme ever created which uses background images along with icons for a real visual treat. Note that due to the unique design of this layout it was not practical to create a version for PocketBreeze with side tabs. I may at some future time but have no current plans to do so as it would require a complete rewrite of the theme and require me to completely redo the background icons.

General Directions:

Download the proper files to your computer and unzip the folder and place the Vista+ folder on your PPC in your MaresWare/WeatherPanel/Themes folder and place your Vista icons folder in your icon directory. Go into WeatherPanel settings and select the display tab from the bottom. For theme select Vista+, and select one of the Vista layouts for the Layout. A general description of available layouts is listed below. Select the icons you wish to use with the layout (Displays best with the vista icons available above.)

To navigate to different windows just tap one of the day forecast icons which opens up the tabbed view in the details view. Select any tab to view more information. To open the Weather Details screen tap on one of the icons in the details screen. The settings button is hidden in the upper left corner of the box.

If you wish to include the Graphs add-on with this theme download from above and then place the files from the unzipped folder in your Vista theme folder. One file will be overwritten when you do this. With the Graphs add-on you will have two combined graphs, one for hourly and one for daily graphs, and tapping any of the text for "Temperature", "Precipitation", "Humidity" or "Windspeed" on the combined graphs will open additional graphs. To return to the last viewed combined graph just tap the white area of the graph.

WeatherPanel Layouts included with this Theme:

• Vista.wpl - Uses Huge icons.

• Vista-.wpl - Uses smallish Large icons.

• Vista-4cast.wpl - similar to above but has forecasts in the main display.

• Vista-BIG.wpl - Uses smallish icons but is taller to display more of the background images. (my personal favorite)

• Vista-Landscape.wpl - works in landscape view.

• Vista+.wpl - Uses Huger icons.
