Special Requirements
This theme requires the latest version of WeatherPanel, and you need to download the icons available
for proper display. Even if you already have a set of Samurize icons you need to download this set for proper display as these sets include the HUGISH folder which is required for some layouts to display properly. Note that this theme is not for the RAM challenged and hopefully you store your icons on a memory card as this set is very large. Note also that most of these layouts are very large and will reguire most of the today screen. With the exception of the Small, Mini and Micro layouts I intended them to be used as a tab in PocketBreeze or on a WAD page.
Any layout with "PB" in the name was set up for use as a tab in PocketBreeze with side tabs. If you use it with PocketBreeze but use top tabs use the standard layouts.
The lunar calendar display will work best if you have mini moon icons in your selected theme. It will use the built in mini moons if you do not but this will significantly slow the display. If you wish to use the Real time moon image display make that image the seventh image of your home city. To use this you must have the seventh radar image pointed to the following URL: |http://static.die.net/moon/512.jpg Note that if you have no seventh image the screen will default to a standard moon image from your icon set, this is so you do not have to have multiple downloads of the moon image for proper display when not viewing from your home city.
Introduction
This WeatherPanel theme was created to compliment Bob's great Samurize weather icons. While it will work with other icon sets it wont display as intended.
Note on QVGA conversion: I do not have a QVGA device to test these on, I resized the images so the layouts should display on QVGA devices, but there may be problems with some text being too small. Graphs display differently on VGA and QVGA devices so the graphs may not display quite correctly.
General Directions:
Download the proper files to your computer and unzip the folder and place the SamuraiX folder on your PPC in your MaresWare/WeatherPanel/Themes folder and place your Samurize icons folder in your icon directory. Go into WeatherPanel settings and select the display tab from the bottom. For theme select SamuraiX, and select one of the Samurai layouts for the Layout. A general description of available layouts is listed below. Select the Samurize icons and you should be good to go.
Operation is simple, on the large one tapping any of the day icons will give you details for that day, the night icons will take you to the built in information displays. The bottom three buttons will display moon info, a 6 page radar screen and a five page graphs page.
On some of the plus layouts tapping one side of the day/date heading will display a text forecast instead of the icons. Tapping the other side will return to the icons.
For the smaller layout operation is basicly the same, but to return to the default large current icon display tap the black box at the top right with the date in it.
On most layouts the settings button is hidden at the center of the city name though some have it to the left of the city name, the arrows at either side of the city name will change cities, and the refresh button is partially hidden to the right of the city name. If no city name is displayed then the settings button is hidden on the top left corner.
The micro layout has no windows, I mostly did it because I was sure someone would ask for a small layout.
The Graphs view defaults to the Temperature graphs, the letters on the right refer to the different graphs views available, the first four have both hourly and daily versions: T=Temperature P=Precipitation W=Wind speed H=Humidity C=Compare The compare graph may not display well if you have a lot of cities since it has limited space to display.
Let me know if you find any bugs and enjoy the layouts. Feel free to ask questions if my instructions aren't clear.....
A total of 19 different layouts in this theme.
