Directory Structure
From WeatherPanel
WeatherPanel can be installed to main memory, to a storage card, or to other built in storage. Please note that some devices built-in-storage is especially slow (Dell Axim), and if WeatherPanel is installed there, it may run a bit slower.
No matter where you install WeatherPanel, some files are copied to the main memory:
- \Windows\MarsUtil.dll
- \Program Files\Marsware\WeatherPanel\WeatherPanel.dll
To install new themes and icons, copy the new theme or icon to WeatherPanel's theme/icon directory.
Theme and Icon directories
If you chose to install to main memory, then the Theme and Icon directories are created here:
- \Program Files\Marsware\WeatherPanel\Themes
- \Program Files\Marsware\WeatherPanel\Icons
If you chose to install to another storage location, then the directories are created:
- <Storage Path>\Marsware WeatherPanel\Themes
- <Storage Path>\Marsware WeatherPanel\Icons
Additional Theme and Icon directores
In addition to the directories mentioned above, you can also manually create a folder called <Storage Path>\WeatherPanel\Themes and <Storage Path>\WeatherPanel\Icons on your Storage Cards / Built-in-storage, to store additional themes and icons. This could be used, for example, when you have installed WeatherPanel to your main memory, but wish to store extra weather icons or themes to a storage card. Using this arrangement, if you remove your storage card, then WeatherPanel will fall back to the default icon sets, but if the storage card is present, will you your chosen icon set.
Weather icon directory structure
The main weather icon directory will contain normal sized weather icons. The moon phase icons are contained in a subfolder called Moon. In addition, the weather icon directory can contain a Mini subdirectory which contains mini weather and moon icons, and a Large subdirectory which contains large weather and moon icons.
